From the Daily News Egypt…

For the second day running frustrated Egyptian doctors were denied entry into Gaza through the Rafah border crossing, as Israel continued its shelling campaign near the border.
Egyptian doctors carrying their suitcases were prevented from entering Gaza to aid the territory’s understaffed hospitals, flooded with over 2,800 wounded during the Israeli assault on Gaza.
Dr Farid Ismail, a member in the Egyptian People’s Assembly health committee, told Daily News Egypt that many Egyptian doctors had offered to cross the border into the Palestinian territory to help the injured, but their proposals were rejected by the government.
“Many doctors have signed statements taking full responsibility for anything that happens to them in Gaza, asking the Ministry of Health to allow them to go to Gaza, yet the ministry refused,” Ismail said.
“The government is saying Gaza is not safe, but since when was a war zone a safe place?” Ismail asked, adding that all the doctors who volunteered to cross the borders to help the Palestinian doctors deal with the casualties are aware of the circumstances there.
“The Palestinian Minister of Health has urged the Egyptian Health Minister to send in specialists in neurosurgery and some other direly needed branches of medicine but the minister refused,” he said.
Hamdy Al-Sayed, chairman of the Doctors’ Syndicate, told Daily News Egypt that doctors from the syndicate are there and ready to cross the borders into Gaza, but Egyptian security officials did not allow them.

And in other news…

The Egyptian state administrative court on Tuesday ordered the implementation of a previous ruling halting the exports of Egyptian natural gas to Israel at prices lower than that of international market.
Under the verdict, the government is obliged to implement the court’s decision, official news agency MENA said.
The case was brought by former diplomat Ibrahim Yousry, who is the lawyer representing the Popular Campaign Against the Export of Egyptian Gas to Israel. The suit aimed to cancel the decision of the Minister of Petroleum to export gas to Israel and to “protect the resources of the country,” a campaign statement read.
The campaign believes that Egypt’s natural gas would be better appropriated in local consumption.

غزة تحترق…غزة تقاوم…تضامنوا مع غزة

من قلب القاهرة وقبل أيام من الآن أطلقت ” ليفنى ” وزيرة خارجية الدولة الصهيونية تصريحاتها باجتياح غزة وتدمير المقاومة الفلسطينية عسكريا خلال لقاءها الأخير بمبارك ، ولا يوجد ما هو أكثر من ذلك للتدليل ليس فقط على تواطأ نظام مبارك مع العدوان الصهيونى الأخير على غزة ، بل أيضا للتدليل على موقف هذا النظام من القضية الفلسطينية على وجه العموم ، وانه حليفا للكيان الصهيونى وعدوا للمقاومة .
ليس هذا فقط ما يؤكد موقف النظام من عمليات القتل التي تمارسها الآلة العسكرية الصهيونية بشكل يومي ضد الفلسطينيين ، بل هناك الكثير من الشواهد التي لا حصر لها أبرزها كان إغلاق معبر رفح أمام المعونات الطبية والغذائية وعبور المصابين للعلاج في المستشفيات المصرية .
مع العلم أن هناك سبعة معابر تفصل بين قطاع غزة وبين الخروج منه أو الدخول إليه ، يسيطر الكيان الصهيونى على ستة من هذه المعابر ، ويسيطر نظام مبارك على سابعهم وهو معبر رفح .
وإذا كان مفهوما الموقف الصهيونى في إغلاق المعابر الستة بوصفه في حالة حرب دائمة مع المقاومة الفلسطينية ، فلا يمكننا فهم موقف نظام مبارك في إغلاق معبر رفح بمعزل عن هذا ، وهو أن دور هذا النظام ينحصر في إحكام الحصار على قطاع غزة لتحقق عملية الاجتياح الصهيونى الجوى والبحري والبرى أقصى درجات النجاح والتأثير وصولا إلى هدفها النهائي ، وهو كسر شوكة المقاومة الفلسطينية في غزة ، وتدمير البنية التحتية لحركة حماس ، من اجل شل سيطرتها على القطاع ووضعه تحت السيطرة الشكلية لحكومة العملاء ” أبو مازن ودحلان ” .
إن العدو اليوم ليس الدولة الصهيونية وأمريكا فقط بل أيضا الأنظمة العربية وعلى رأسها نظام مبارك . تلك الأنظمة التي تمارس قمعها اليومي ضد مظاهرات واحتجاجات الجماهير العربية المناهضة للمذابح الصهيونية والمتضامنة مع جماهير غزة ، سقطت أقنعتها المزيفة حول مساعي كل منها من اجل حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني .
فهذه المرة لم يسعفهم الوقت لدفن رءوسهم ” كالعادة ” داخل قاعات قممهم العربية الذليلة ، بل كانت الفضيحة على الملأ بعد أن توجهوا إلى مجلس امن ” الولايات المتحدة والكيان الصهيونى ” بمشروع قرار لوقف إطلاق النار الذي تم رفضه ضمنيا من قبل مجلس الأمن …..والهدف واضح كما الشمس وهو إعطاء فرصة للكيان الصهيونى لاستكمال مذابحه في غزة خاصة المرحلة الحالية والاهم بالنسبة له وهى مرحلة الاجتياح البرى .
نحن لا ننتظر من تلك الأنظمة العميلة والخاضعة للإدارة الأمريكية وإسرائيل سوى مزيد من الخيانة ، والأمل الحقيقي في المقاومة الفلسطينية المسلحة سواء تمثلت في حركة حماس أو الجهاد أو الجبهة الشعبية أو في الفدائيين من أبناء الشعب الفلسطيني غير المنتمين لأيا من هذه التيارات ، هذه المقاومة هي من يحتاج إلى دعمنا وتضامنا بلا اى شروط ، ليس انطلاقا من اتفاقنا أو اختلافنا السياسي مع فصائلها المختلفة ، وإنما انطلاقا من أنها الدرع الأخير لمقاومة وجود الكيان الصهيوني على ارض فلسطين ، ولانها الحائز على ثقة الشعب الفلسطيني بداية من اختياره احد فصائلها وهى حركة حماس كحكومة فلسطينية ، وانتهاء بازدياد ثقته فيها بعد الاجتياح الأخير على الرغم من وجودها خارج السلطة بعد انقلاب حكومة أبو مازن العميلة على حكومة حماس .
وسوف يقمع نظام مبارك احتجاجاتنا ومظاهرتنا التضامنية مع غزة ، وسوف يستمر في منع قوافل الإغاثة من الدخول عبر معبر رفح ، ولكن ليس أمامنا من سبيل سوى الاستمرار ومقاومة القمع .
علينا نحن جماهير الشعب المصري الضغط على نظام مبارك من اجل فتح معبر رفح ، فإذا كان هو متواطأ مع الاجتياح الاسرائيلى لقطاع غزة ، فلن نشارك نحن في هذا التواطؤ بصمتنا ، بل لنتظاهر ، ولننظم قوافل الدواء والأغذية ، فهذا النظام المنبطح دائما أمام الصهيونية والاستعمار ، اضعف من أن يصمد أمام ضغط جماهير الشعب المصري إذا خرجت إلى الشوارع والميادين تطالب بفتح معبر رفح وبطرد السفير الصهيوني من مصر وإغلاق سفارته ، ولنا من الانتصارات التى حققتها الحركة العمالية المصرية خلال الاعوام الاخيرة ما يزيدنا املا فى ان تتكرر تجربة النضال الجماهيرى من اجل المطالب الاجتماعية والديمقراطية فى احداث التضامن مع غزة ، فكل انتصار للمقاومة الفلسطينية هو انتصار للحركة الجماهيرية فى مصر ، وكل انتصار لنضال الفقراء والكادحين فى مصر هو انتصارا للمقاومة ضد الاستعمار والصهيونية
إن الحرب لن تنتهي حتى إذا وقف إطلاق النار وسكتت المدافع عن غزة ،وانتهائها مرتبط بانتهاء وجود الدولة الصهيونية على ارض فلسطين ، ولذلك علينا أيضا ألا نتوقف عن التحرك من اجل التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني والمقاومة بكافة الاشكال والوسائل على طريق تحقيق هذا الهدف .

People’s convoy to Rafah
The Egyptian Popular Committee for Solidarity with the Palestinian People is organizing a convoy of Egyptian citizens and activists to go to Rafah demanding the complete opening of the Rafah borders.
The Buses will be leaving on Friday the 9th of January at 7 a.m. from in front of the press syndicate, Abdel Khalek Tharwat str. in Downtown Cairo.
Each participant will need to cover the cost of their travel, which will be approximately Fifty Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptian popular committee for the solidarity with the Palestinian People is calling upon all, to participate and join its convoy. Please also circulate this message. For more information contact: (+2) 0163229246.
